Visa Bulletin Update: Current Wait Times for Available Visas in the Family “Preference Categories”

The Department of State recently released the Visa Bulletin for March 2019. In part, the Visa Bulletin specifies the period of time a non-immediate relative family member must wait before filing for a family-sponsored green card.

According to the March 2019 visa bulletin, the following are the current wait times for available visas in the family “preference categories”:

F-1: Unmarried sons and daughters of U.S. CITIZENS
Mexico: 19 yrs, 4 mo
Philippines: 10 yrs, 10 mo
All other countries: 6 yrs, 9 mo

F-2A: Spouses and Children of LAWFUL PERMANENT RESIDENTS
All countries: 1 year, 2 mo

F-2B: Unmarried sons and daughters (21 years of age and older) of LAWFUL PERMANENT RESIDENTS
Mexico: 21 yrs
Philippines: 11 yrs
All other countries: 4 yrs, 7 mo

F-3: Married sons and daughters of U.S. CITIZENS
Mexico: 18 yrs, 8 mo
Philippines: 21 yrs, 5 mo
All other countries: 11 yrs, 11 mo

F4: Brothers and sisters of adult U.S. CITIZENS
Mexico: 20 yrs, 3 mo
Philippines: 21 yrs, 1 mo
India: 14 yrs
All other countries: 12 yrs, 7 mo
